The Weinstein Legal team was happy to participate in Walk Like MADD 5k. The event is MADD’s signature fundraising event that helps raise awareness and funds to stamp out drunk and drugged driving. The walk is held to memorialize those who have been lost and to honor the mission that was started by a grieving mother in 1980.
The Weinstein Legal team raised $6,500 for this worthy cause.
About Mothers Against Drunk Driving
In 1980 Mothers Against Drunk Driver (MADD) was founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver. The organization’s mission is to eradicate drunk driving and the devastation it causes. To this end, MADD helps fight drunk and drugged driving, supports the victims of drunk or drugged drivers, and works to prevent underage drinking. Since its inception, MADD has helped save over 370,000 lives and reduced deaths caused by drunk driving by 50%.
